[Consultation Case for Metal 3D Printing] Drone Propeller Manufacturing
Scan ready-made products and obtain data! Process and modify it into data that can be 3D printed.
We would like to introduce a case study from the System Design Laboratory at Osaka Institute of Technology. The issue was that in order to conduct a heat resistance comparison experiment with existing carbon propellers, an aluminum drone propeller of the same shape was needed. By utilizing a 3D scanner to scan the existing product, we obtained data and processed and modified it into a format suitable for 3D printing. As a result, we were able to conduct heat resistance flight experiments in high-temperature environments. [Case Overview (Partial)] ■ Issue - An aluminum drone propeller of the same shape is needed to conduct a heat resistance comparison experiment with existing carbon propellers. ■ Requests - We want to complete the trial run before the experiment. - Since we cannot obtain dimensional information or drawings of the existing product, we want to create it from the actual item. - We would like to use the final 3D data for analysis after the experiment. *For more details about the case, please refer to the related links.
